CBE-3915, Assistant Professor, Department of Marketing
Position:
The College of Business and Economics invites applications for a tenure-track, 9-month Assistant Professor position in the Department of Marketing. Preferred start date August 2026.
Qualifications:
A PhD/DBA or equivalent in marketing or a closely related field from an AACSB-accredited university is required. ABDs with significant progress will be considered if completion of the degree is achieved by February 1, 2027. Applicants will need to demonstrate potential for strong research, excellent teaching, and service aligned with the college’s expected outcomes of impact, innovation, and engagement.
Responsibilities:
The position requires a teaching load of nine credit hours of undergraduate and/or graduate courses in marketing per semester (6 courses per year). Preference for candidates with an interest in teaching undergraduate-level Marketing Analytics and graduate-level courses. Faculty are required to conduct research leading to refereed journal publications and engage in university, community, and professional association service. This position is contingent on the availability of funds at the time of hire.
The Department:
The Department of Marketing is housed in the College of Business and Economics which is accredited by AACSB for both its business and accounting programs. The Department of Marketing offers an undergraduate Marketing Major, a Marketing Minor, a Business Law Minor, a graduate Masters in Marketing Intelligence, in addition to a newly-developed Professional Selling Certificate. The Department is home to the Towson University Strategic Sales Center and the Behavioral Research and Insight NeruoLab.

Salary and Benefits:
Targeted salary range: $133,000-$135,000
