Centre Manager
The Care Policy and Evaluation Centre (CPEC) at the LSE is an international research centre working mainly in the areas of long-term social care, mental health, developmental disabilities and other issues.
CPEC is recruiting for a Centre Manager who will work with collegiality, flexibility, efficiency and a sense of principle shared by the academic community in a diverse and global environment.
The post holder will be responsible for managing administrative tasks on behalf of CPEC, managing its administrative team and providing support to the CPEC Centre Director.
Candidates should have:
- Substantial management and administrative experience in an academic or research environment.
- Experience of staff and line management.
- Strong, proven managerial skills with experience of team leadership.
- Sound financial skills, with experience of budget management along with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent inter-personal skills.
Candidates should have the ability to plan and organise time and resources (human, physical and financial) to best achieve the Centre’s short and long-term strategic goals.
