The Change & Communications Officer supports the delivery of change initiatives within the Digital Student Services stream, including Learning and Teaching programs such as Canvas, non-award courses, CAT App and Wattle decommission.
Working under broad direction, the role coordinates and delivers change management and communications activities to support implementation and adoption, including developing plans, delivering targeted communications, engaging stakeholders, and providing reporting and advice.
The role also supports the Digital Student Services Senior Change and Communications Lead with stream-level activities, including reporting, communications oversight, governance, and key events.
The Person
You will typically bring:
- A strong track record of delivering change and communication activities in complex, fast-paced environments, ideally within Agile delivery contexts
- Experience translating complex or technical information into clear, engaging and accessible communications for diverse audiences
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clarity, consistency and audience relevance
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines and competing demands while maintaining attention to detail
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships and work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leaders
- Experience providing practical advice on change impacts, readiness and stakeholder engagement approaches
- A proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused mindset, with the ability to respond to evolving priorities
- A collaborative, values-led approach, contributing positively to team culture and aligned with ITS ways of working (thinking as one team, acting with empathy, keeping things simple)

Within ITS, Digital Student Services works collaboratively across the University to deliver strategically aligned digital and business change initiatives that enhance the student and staff experience.
