OVERVIEW:

DeSales University, in Center Valley, PA, is a private, coeducational, four-year liberal arts Salesian, Catholic university, under the leadership of the Oblates of Saint Francis de Sales. Founded in 1965, the 550-acre suburban campus is located 50 miles north of Philadelphia and about 90 miles southwest of New York City. A total enrollment of nearly 3,500 includes undergraduate day and evening students, and graduate students. POSITION SUMMARY:

The Chief Information Officer (CIO) & AVP for Information Technology provides strategic leadership, vision, and management for the University's information technology systems and services. This role is responsible for institution-wide IT strategic planning, budgeting, governance, security, and the coordination and integration of all University IT matters. The CIO is a visionary leader, well-versed in a variety of IT disciplines, and serves as the senior spokesperson on technology and data issues, supporting and aligning IT initiatives with the University's mission and strategic objectives. The CIO is a member of the President's executive cabinet.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred in Computer Science, Information Systems or related area
• A minimum of 8 years of related experience managing and supporting information technology operations including ERP and other enterprise business applications within a senior IT management position. Experience in higher education preferred; candidates from complex multi-company or multi-department organizations must demonstrate relevant experience.

• Willingness to work outside of regularly scheduled hours as needed for system upgrades, outages, or emergencies.
