Duties/Responsibilities:

• Performs analysis of blood and body fluids to aid in the diagnosis. (60% of time)
• Performs quality assurance procedures in order to maintain AAVLD accreditation. (20% of time)
• Assists with STAT lab analyzers in the event the hospital personnel needs help troubleshooting these analyzers. (20% of time)

Classification Title: Student Assistant

FLSA: Non-Exempt

FTE: 0.50

Position Summary: Will assist laboratory personnel in blood and urine analysis, perform quality assurance procedures, and assist with STATE lab analyzers.

Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position: Laboratory experience preferred.

Physical Demands: Lift 25 lbs.
