Your Role on the Team

Position Summary:

Provides social work services to patients and families to facilitate their ability to cope with the psychological and social problems related to illness. Provides abuse detection and reporting, information and referral, consultation and counseling and assistance with discharge planning. Participates in interdisciplinary care process, in-services and other education programs of the hospital. This position requires knowledge of developmental stages as service is provided to infant, child, adolescent, adults, and geriatric populations. This position also requires knowledge of cultural influences in response to illness as there is some cultural diversity in the population served.

Required Qualifications:

• Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
• Clinical Social Worker III - $56.03
  A Master's degree from an accredited school of social work, possession of a clinical social worker license issued by the California Board of Behavioral Science Examiners, and three years of post-master's experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience; and knowledges and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.
• Clinical Social Worker II - $52.66
  A Master's degree from an accredited school of social work and possession of the requirements necessary for application for licensure as a clinical social worker as determined by the California Board of Behavioral Science Examiners; or an equivalent combination of education and experience; and knowledges and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.
• Clinical Social Worker I - $45.46
  A Master's degree from an accredited school of social work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience; and knowledges and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
