Position Summary
The Department of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at Johns Hopkins University is seeking a talented, patient-centered Clinical Audiologist to join our growing team in the National Capital Region (Bethesda, MD and Washington, D.C.). The successful candidate will provide high-quality audiologic care to a diverse patient population, with a focus on cochlear implant services as well as diagnostic evaluations, and hearing aid fitting and management. This position offers the opportunity to practice in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment renowned for clinical excellence, innovation, and academic leadership.
Primary Responsibilities
· Conduct comprehensive audiologic evaluations, including diagnostic assessments for patients of all ages.
· Provide pre-operative and post-operative cochlear implant evaluations, programming, and rehabilitation services.
· Counsel patients and families regarding candidacy, expectations, and outcomes for cochlear implants and other implantable hearing technologies.
· Dispense, fit, and adjust hearing aids and related assistive listening devices, including verification and validation measures.
· Interpret test results and communicate findings to patients, families, and referring providers in a clear, compassionate manner.
· Collaborate with otolaryngologists, speech-language pathologists, and other clinical team members to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
· Document patient care in the electronic medical record in accordance with Johns Hopkins University and departmental standards.
· Participate in quality improvement, clinical research, and/or educational initiatives, as appropriate to interest and departmental needs.
Work Environment
This role will involve practice at both our Bethesda, MD and Washington, D.C. clinic locations in the National Capital Region. The position requires flexibility in scheduling to meet patient care needs across both sites.

Qualifications
· Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) or equivalent degree from an accredited program.
· Eligible for Maryland and Washington, D.C. audiology licensure prior to start date.
· Minimum of one year of post-graduate clinical experience preferred; new graduates with strong cochlear implant interest are encouraged to apply.
· Demonstrated interest and/or experience in cochlear implant services and other implantable hearing technologies.
· Strong skills in diagnostic audiology, amplification fitting, and patient counseling.
· Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
