Job Description
We are searching for a qualified nurse to join our ranks and contribute to our mission of providing the highest level of nursing care to emergency and critically ill animals. As an emergency nurse, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our emergency service. Your responsibilities will include efficient and accurate triage, prioritization, and work-up of all incoming cases. We encourage candidates with experience in CPR, pain management, imaging, anesthesia, medication administration, as well as IV and urinary catheter placement to apply.

Qualifications:
- Veterinary Technician, Emergency Services A: 0-1 year of veterinary experience and board eligible within 3 months
- Veterinary Technician, Emergency Services B: 1-2 years of veterinary experience and a CVT
- Veterinary Technician, Emergency Services C: 3-4 years of veterinary experience and a CVT
- Veterinary Technician, Emergency Services D: 5+ years of veterinary experience and a CVT
- Veterinary Technician, Emergency Services E: 8+ years of experience and a VTS, or additional certifications
Must be flexible, have strong critical thinking skills and good technical skills.
We are hiring at all levels for this position. Minimum starting salaries increase with each level. Relevant education, experience, skills, and licenses/ certifications are among the factors considered in salary offers.

Targeted Pay Range:
$20.45/hr to $40.00/hr.
*Salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, as well as internal and market factors and grade profile.
*Shift differentials of 10-30% apply for nights/weekends
Hours:
36-hour shift 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m., Friday, Saturday and Sunday. This shift qualifies for a 30% shift differential. Mid shift, overnight and weekend shifts are all available.
Physical Requirement:
Must be able to stand, bend, stoop for prolonged periods of time. Ability to lift 25 + pounds with assistance. Working conditions can be noisy with barking dogs.
