Clinical Care Coordinator
Department Summary
Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) serves as the campus community mental health center for students. The Department's mission is to support students' emotional and intellectual development, emotional resiliency and personal well-being toward optimizing their ability to thrive in UCLA's diverse learning environment. CAPS clinicians provide clinical, outreach, and mental health promotion services. Clinical services are confidential and available to regularly enrolled students.

Salary & Compensation
*UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Salary offers at the top of the range are not common. Qualifications
- 1+ Year Post licensure experience with relevant prior experience and training. (Required)
- Demonstrated competence in trauma-informed, culturally competent, mental health service delivery. (Required)
- Demonstrated ability to conduct effective crisis intervention and de-escalation for the wide range of presenting issues, including potentially high acuity, high severity, and highly complex presentations. (Required)
- Demonstrated skills in effectively managing mental health emergencies, including crisis intervention and de-escalation. (Required)
- Demonstrated skills to intervene with suicidal, homicidal, and psychotic clients. (Required)
- Demonstrated advanced problem-solving and critical thinking skills, ability to work autonomously while applying good judgment for when consultation and assistance is needed. (Required)
- Working knowledge of legal and ethical issues pertaining to mental health treatment and service delivery. (Required)
- Working knowledge of cultural and ethnic factors affecting mental health service delivery. (Required)
- Knowledge of business software and specialized applications/systems (EMR) used in behavioral health settings. (Required)
- Demonstrated ability to work in an interdisciplinary and diverse environment. (Required)
- Demonstrated ability to conduct brief psychotherapy, assessment, and crisis intervention. (Required)
- Demonstrated skills in written and oral communication. (Required)
- Demonstrated skills in consultation work with professional and non-professional colleagues. (Required)
Education, Licenses, Certifications & Personal Affiliations
- Advanced degree in a related area (Required)
- Current, valid license as an LMFT or LCSW in California. Note: Maintenance of licensure in good standing is a requirement of continued employment. (Required)
