About this opportunity
As the Clinical Informatician, you will be a senior professional specialist providing clinical informatics expertise to support digital health and data‑enabled research initiatives at The University of Queensland. Working within the Data Science Collaborative Research Platform and in close partnership with Queensland Health, researchers, clinicians and external collaborators, this role is pivotal in translating complex clinical and research requirements into high‑quality, fit‑for‑purpose digital and data solutions. This is an opportunity to contribute to impactful, purpose‑driven research that improves health outcomes through collaboration, innovation and evidence‑based practice.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing expert clinical and integrated electronic medical record (ieMR) system advice to enable digital health and data‑enabled research initiatives.
- Working closely with researchers to understand research requirements and deliver informed, practical informatics solutions across the research life cycle.
- Acting as a critical liaison between clinical, technical and research teams to translate requirements into clear documentation and solution designs.
- Supporting clinical validation of data solutions to ensure quality and accuracy of the developed outputs
- Supporting ethics, governance, quality assurance and continuous improvement activities to maximise research integrity and outcomes.
