The Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the Faculty of Medicine (FM), American University of Beirut (AUB), invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the assistant professor level in Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacokinetics.
Applications for higher level (associate professor or professor) positions may be considered based on the experience and achievements of the applicant.
We seek an investigator with expertise in clinical pharmacology, pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics, bioequivalence studies, drug development or related fields. Expertise in clinical trials, precision medicine or drug safety are additional assets.
The successful candidate will join an active and collaborative department with research programs in pharmacogenetics, cardiac remodeling, cancer and inflammation research, and therapeutic drug monitoring. The Department is also developing a Center for Bioequivalence Studies, creating further opportunities for research and collaboration in drug evaluation, pharmacokinetics, pharmaceutical development, and partnerships with the pharmaceutical industry.
The candidate will be expected to establish an independent research program, contribute to the development of the Center for Bioequivalence Studies, develop collaborative projects within the department, with clinical departments and with pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, and contribute to teaching and mentoring medical and graduate students and other trainees.
Candidates must have a doctoral degree appropriate to the field and must have had at least 2 years of post-doctoral research training with evidence of research productivity as a primary investigator.
