Oxford Population Health (Nuffield Department of Population Health) contains world-renowned population health research groups and provides an excellent environment for multi-disciplinary research and teaching. The Clinical Trial Service Unit (CTSU) is a major international research institute within Oxford Population Health, and is one of the world’s leading centres for research into chronic diseases, especially diabetes, heart disease, kidney disease and cancer.

We are seeking a Clinical Research Fellow to work on ASCEND PLUS, an ongoing national, 20,000 participant, placebo-controlled trial of the GLP1 receptor agonist, semaglutide, in people with type 2 diabetes. The post is full time (although part time will be considered) and fixed term for 2 years. The closing date for applications is noon on 7 January 2026.

You will be required to upload a CV and Supporting Statement as part of your online application. The Supporting Statement should include a cover letter and should also clearly describe how you meet each of the selection criteria listed in the job description.
