Clinician Educator – Neurosurgery (Tri-Valley)

The Department of Neurosurgery at Stanford University School of Medicine is seeking to recruit a Clinician Educator at the rank of Clinical Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. We are particularly interested in candidates with demonstrated experience in general and spinal neurosurgery.

The major criterion for appointment as a Clinician Educator is excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, teaching, administrative service, and/or scholarly activity appropriate to the programmatic needs of the department. Academic rank and line will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.

Applicants must hold an M.D. degree and be eligible for medical licensure in the State of California.

Responsibilities will include providing comprehensive neurosurgical care for both inpatients and outpatients at Stanford Health Care – Tri-Valley, a Stanford Hospital and Clinics site located in Pleasanton, California. This position represents an exciting opportunity to expand Stanford’s neurosurgical presence in the East Bay and Central Valley, bringing world-class neurosurgical care closer to these communities. The selected candidate will play a leading role in building and developing this program.

The expected base pay range for likely disciplines are listed below. The expected base pay range for this position is:

358K to 483K based on rank.

This pay range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. It does not include all components of the School of Medicine’s faculty compensation program or pay from participation in departmental incentive compensation programs.
