Salary Range: Starting at $60,000/Annual, commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications.

Job Summary
The Communications Coordinator supports the development, execution, and continuous improvement of strategic communications, marketing initiatives, and creative outputs or Professional and Continuing Education (PaCE) while upholding a high standard of customer service and brand integrity. Responsible for delivering professional-level design, marketing, and communications services across print, digital, and social platforms; managing CRM-based campaigns; consulting with stakeholders; and contributing to departmental initiatives as directed by the Director of Marketing and Enrollment.
Core Responsibilities
- Ensures the highest possible level of customer service in order to provide exceptional experiences for students, faculty, staff, guests and university partners.
- Performs design functions to provide professional-level visual collateral for various multimedia channels including print, digital and social media.
- Demonstrates experience managing campaigns and contact data within a CRM (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, Slate).
- Serves as a member of the creative team to solve problems relating to the mechanical and visual design of information to be disseminated while aligning to the UT San Antonio and PaCE brand.
- Recommend visuals that effectively present the desired end product and appeal to targeted demographics both within and outside the department and university.
- Consults with stakeholders in relevant program areas to ensure design expectations are met in a timely manner.
- Writes, edits, formats, and assembles publications and copy for the department, ensuring that they are in compliance with university standards and requirements.
- Consistently seeks development of professional skillsets by following industry trends and news in design, marketing, and higher education.
- Demonstrates the ability to work within brand guidelines as outlined by departmental and university staff.
- Participates in and contribute to departmental committees.
- Represents PaCE within the campus community through committees and participation in various university functions.
- Participates in major departmental events and trainings.
- Acts as a presenter/consultant for the department.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
- Three (3) years of experience in, public relations, communications, writing/editing, marketing, web publishing or a related field.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud or Canva.
- Experience with social media marketing.
- Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems (HubSpot, Salesforce)
- Demonstrated understanding of English language usage, writing styles, grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
- Superlative writing and verbal communication skills.
- This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure.

- Basic understanding of office procedures.
- Demonstrated independent decision-making and problem-solving ability.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Working Conditions
- Office environment.
- Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions or other business-related events.
- Workdays, areas, and work hours may vary based on the needs of the department.
Physical Demands
- Sedentary work; sitting most of the time.
- Jobs are sedentary, if walking and standing are required, only occasionally.
- Sedentary: Up to 10lbs - Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
This position will work both on campus and remotely in Texas. Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility.
