(Primary Location for Job Responsibilities) Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144.

Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Job Summary

Provides quality instruction for various summer camp programs.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Provides an engaging and fun classroom experience for all campers while providing effective classroom management
  2. Develops and implements creative and engaging camp curriculum that is age appropriate, always taking precautions towards safety
  3. Maintains a positive and enthusiastic attitude with staff, parents, and campers
  4. Demonstrates professionalism, timeliness, effective communication, problem-solving, patience, flexibility, etc.

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent

Other Required Qualifications
First Aid and CPR training provided upon hire by the university

Required Experience
Expertise in subject matter

Preferred Qualifications

Additional Preferred Qualifications
Strong communication skills

Preferred Educational Qualifications
An undergraduate or advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field

Preferred Experience
Experience working with youth, ages 14-18 years of age.
Current or previous experience teaching or advising students in an educational setting.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

ABILITIES
Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines

SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite)
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills
