Community Data Analyst
Job Description
The Community Innovation and Action Center (CIAC) at the University of Missouri-St. Louis (UMSL), engages community partners to co-create knowledge, tools and connections in the St. Louis region and beyond. CIAC is dedicated to developing transparent, action-oriented infrastructure and analysis to answer questions that matter by elevating community expertise.
The Community Data Analyst will work to expand, support, and execute data and evaluation projects for CIAC. The role will be primarily responsible for collecting, cleaning, analyzing, and visualizing data as well as communicating complex findings to varied audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design, management and execution of data and evaluation projects. Conduct literature reviews and gather background information.
- Collect, clean, code, manage, analyze and visualize quantitative and qualitative data
- Implement a range of data, research and evaluation methodologies for community-based projects
- Assist with developing, preparing, delivering and interpreting data sets. Prepare routine reports, presentations and dashboards that are easy to read and interpret.
- Engage clients, community members and other stakeholders in the evaluation and research process throughout the project.
- Provides basic subject matter expertise about data quality, task suitability, and availability.
- Utilize strong project management skills and tools across a range of projects.
