Community Education Assistant
Please note: this will be for a duration through June 15, 2026; possible extension. 32-40 hours per week; will require work in Los Angeles area (Compton), Monterey or Bay Area.
Must have Mandarin language fluency.
Uses professional community educational program concepts to support delivery of standardized educational and volunteer educational programs for the Multitudes early literacy initiative. Applies established procedures and protocols to assist with program implementation needs that are limited in scope. Follows standard practices in collecting and organizing participant data, supporting program delivery, and assisting with outreach to Mandarin-speaking communities. Receives detailed instructions on all assignments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts standardized data collection sessions with participating children and families, including administering Mandarin-language assessments using established Multitudes protocols.
- Prepares and delivers standardized community education activities under direct supervision, including supporting Mandarin-speaking families' participation in the program.
- Researches participant data and maintains accurate records to enhance program delivery and ensure high-quality data collection outcomes.
- Tracks and maintains program-related paperwork, inventory, and activity reports, ensuring adherence to study procedures and confidentiality requirements.
- Assists with planning special events in collaboration with program leadership and community partners, and helps establish relationships with new Mandarin-speaking partners.
- Participates in required training on Multitudes protocols, community engagement, and data collection procedures to maintain programmatic competence.
