The Computer Science Department at the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Computer Science position at its campuses located in Collegeville, MN and Saint Joseph, MN.

This position is based out of Saint John's University but will require that the candidate work on both campuses.

Salary ranges from $68,750 to $79,327/year, commensurate with experience, and standard company benefits including medical and life insurance, 401(k), disability, professional development opportunities, and PTO.

The posted wage represents CSB and SJU's good faith estimate of likely compensation at the time of posting. Actual pay will be dependent upon several factors, including the candidate's experience, qualifications, and skills, and may fall outside of the range indicated.

• Teach three courses each semester offered by the Department - including introductory and intermediate level courses as well as advance courses in area of specialization.
• Continue to develop teaching effectiveness by participating in inclusive teaching trainings.
• Advise students to help plan and integrate educational career choices.
• Conduct and publish scholarly and/or creative work.
• Keep abreast of developments in the field by reading current literature, talking with colleagues, and participating in professional conferences.
• Contribute to the governance of the department and institution by engaging in department and institution committee service.
• Maintain computer equipment used in instruction.
• Select and obtain materials and supplies, such as textbooks.
• Work with students on research projects.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely-related discipline.
• Must have two years of experience teaching introductory and intermediate-level undergraduate courses in Computing, Computer Engineering, and Computer Architecture.
