Job Description:

The SUNY Broome Community College Computer Science Department is seeking a dynamic, knowledgeable, and dedicated Computer Science Instructor to join our faculty for the Fall 2026 semester.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction with a specialization in Cybersecurity and Computer Networking, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment, and preparing students for careers in this critical technology field or for further studies. This role requires a passion for teaching and a commitment to student success in a diverse community college setting. This is an in-person, full-time, tenure-track appointment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Requirements:

• A Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Information Technology, or a closely related field from an accredited institution is required.
• Three years teaching experience, or an appropriate combination of teaching, relevant work experience (e.g., Network Administrator, Security Analyst), and scholarly activity is required.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without a visa sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

Additional Information:

The minimum annual salary for this position is $56,606.  Salary offer will be based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.

Offers of employment will be conditional based upon the results of a satisfactory, required pre-employment Standard Background Check.
