Coordinator for Leadership and Service Programs

Position Information

Leadership & Service Programs include leadership, civic engagement, and community service programs and initiatives that connect UCR students with the greater Riverside area. In order to provide a comprehensive leadership development and service program at UCR, these programs are directly connected to fostering student learning about the core of social issues and providing skills on how to respond as leaders to make a difference in their communities.

This position will contribute to the student leadership conference, leadership development education and opportunities, civic engagement programs, and various community service initiatives. Collaborating with various departments and community partners will be essential to ensure success for all programs. The Coordinator will also contribute to the implementation of the strategic plan to ensure the goals and objectives are achieved. This position will also support general Student Life Office functions and events as needed.

The full salary range for the Coordinator for Leadership and Service Programs position is $54,200.00 - $93,200.00 annually. The expected pay scale for this position is $54,200.00 - $63,950.00 or up to $63,950.00 annually. Salary offers are based on a variety of considerations, such as related education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.

Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.

As a university employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements.

Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting student engagement and leadership development Preferred

Minimum Requirements

Ability to develop original ideas to solve problems.
Thorough knowledge of advising and counseling techniques.
Abilities in project management, problem identification and reasoning skills.
Thorough knowledge of Student Affairs/Student Life specialization.
Skills in judgment and decision-making, problem solving, identifying measures of system performance and the actions to improve performance.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong knowledge of common University-specific computer application programs and knowledge of University and departmental principles and procedures involved in risk assessment and evaluating risks as to likelihood and consequences.
