Job Summary
Under the direction of the Associate Director of Admissions Events and Visitation, the Coordinator of Events plans and executes successful recruitment and yield events for prospective students and their families. The Coordinator effectively collaborates with departments across campus and manages event logistics, including booking spaces, securing catering, processing contracts, and handling invoices. Additionally, the Coordinator presents engaging information sessions, provides campus tours, and assists walk-in students and families with admissions inquiries. The Coordinator consistently exhibits service, collaboration, and excellence as championed by the Division of Enrollment, Marketing and Student Success.
Responsibilities
- Provide coordination (planning and implementation) of Admissions recruitment and yield events (on-campus, off-campus, and virtual), including, but not limited to, daily visits, group tours, preview days, school counselor events, scholarship interview events, and accepted student days
- Collaborate with University partners in academic and student support departments/colleges regarding Admissions recruitment and yield events
- Meet established visit/event goals and generate reports and assessments for continual improvement of practices
- Present daily information sessions and give campus tours to visitors as needed, providing information concerning the University to prospective students and their families
- Assist with general Admissions support including meeting with walk-in students and families about admission to Georgia Southern University and office coverage
- Assist with on- and off- campus event coordination and preparation including, but not limited to: booking event space, securing catering and other logistical needs, set-up, day-of implementation, contract completion, and invoice and payment processing

Bachelor's Degree
Required Experience
One (1) or more years of related work experience

- Experience in college admissions or enrollment management
- Experience in event planning and coordination
- Experience with a CRM system, specifically Slate
Proposed Salary
$24.04 per hour
This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.
