Pay Range: $17.75 - $30.00

Hours:
Standard University business hours
8:30am - 5:00pm (academic year)
8:00am - 4:30pm (summer)
Hours may vary based on operational needs.

Job Description:

The Coordinator of Football Operations will serve as the lead for all off field football-related initiatives. This position will act as the primary liaison between the Syracuse University Football Program and all campus units including housing, business office, dining services, and compliance. The position will assist student athletes with onboarding, housing, financial aid, and compliance. This position will also oversee and direct all team travel operations, including bowl games. Reporting to the Senior Associate Athletic Director and working closely with the Head Football Coach, this role is integral to operating and managing a top tier Power 4 football program.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree required.
  • 2+ years of experience in athletics operations/ demonstrated success in working with student athletes and coaching staffs.
  • Strong knowledge of NCAA compliance.
  • Experience collaborating with campus partners at the collegiate level.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Demonstrate knowledge of football operations.
  • Must be able to complete daily tasks within a given timeline.
  • Commitment to providing a high-level student athlete experience.
  • Ability to support gender and diversity commitment of the department.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet requirements under pressure.
  • Willingness to work extended hours.
  • Must possess the ability to meet project deadlines and work under time constraint pressures.
  • Good organizational, communication and computer skills.
  • Strong commitment and ability to work well with student-athletes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate all day-to-day operations of the football program including scheduling, housing, compliance, facilities, and financial aid.
  • Coordinate all business items related to the football program including reimbursements, cash advances, vendor payments, and credit card reconciliations.
  • Manage and coordinate all team travel including booking hotels, oversight of plane manifests, busing, and meals.
  • Coordinate all facility usage for the football program including meals, practices, meetings, and donor tours.
  • Facilitate collaboration between Syracuse Athletics and various external vendors.
