Coordinator, Psychological Services (Full-Time, Tenure-Track)
Essential Functions
Coordinating the delivery of psychological services throughout Madera Community College including grief-therapy, crisis intervention, referrals, record keeping, assessing student behavior, educational programs and the development of policies, procedures and protocols. Developing equity-minded inclusive programs to foster a positive mental health climate district-wide. Collaborating with the campuses to provide consultation, support and assistance during crisis situations. Developing programs to address the treatment and prevention of alcohol and substance dependency. Selecting, training and supervising clinical interns. Serving as liaison with APA, CAPIC and APPIC. Maintaining appropriate certifications and accreditations. Coordinating the day-to-day operation of psychological services including assessment, recordkeeping, reports, budget oversight and supervision of interns. Ensuring conformance with professional standards and laws. Setting annual goals. Evaluating student needs. Serving on committees. Participating in program review and student learning outcomes. Working assignments in a variety of settings and times.
Minimum Qualifications
Ph.D. or Psy.D degree in Counseling or clinical psychology from a regionally accredited institution; and a valid California State Psychologist License with a minimum of three (3) year's clinical experience, and experience in Psychological Counseling and crisis intervention.
Desirable Qualifications
Experience incorporating elements of diversity, equity, and inclusion; recent experience working with racially minoritized students; experience working with students of various backgrounds including disabilities; demonstrated ability to communicate effectively; experience with computers and technologies; experience with a wide variety of client groups including crisis intervention; experience exercising full clinical responsibility; experience teaching, training and supervision; well-developed communication skills; skills in providing consultation; familiarity with standard research practices; knowledge of the community college mission.
