"Dental Assisting Instructor - Cape Cod Community College"

GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES: The faculty will teach Dental Radiology (DAS-100). This 3-credit course requires comprehensive asynchronous instruction and in person hands-on laboratory instruction to dental assisting students. The faculty will prepare students for clinical radiographic procedures. Faculty will provide hands-on laboratory instruction in proper x-ray exposure techniques and basic principles of radiographic interpretation. To be filled for Academic Year 2025-26.

Job Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene or related field.
2. Demonstrate experience with asynchronous teaching.
3. Teaching experience at the college level or equivalent.
4. Ability to create an environment that supports student learning and success.

ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Experience teaching in a community college setting.
2. Evidence of teaching methodology, experience with learning management systems such as Moodle.

COMPENSATION: Anticipated starting salary - Step 1 DCE pay scale. Part-time, non-benefitted MCCC/DCE Unit position.
