The Department of Health Science and Human Ecology (HSCI) at California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Public Health, beginning in the 2026/2027 academic year. This position specifically supports the undergraduate (BSPH) and graduate (MPH) programs in Public Health and help with developing the DrPH program.

The successful candidate will teach in both programs and is expected to be familiar with the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) accreditation requirements and be willing to work with faculty in a collaborative effort to maintain accreditation.

TYPICAL ACTIVITIES

1. Teaching in both the undergraduate and graduate programs.
2. Supporting existing service-learning programs and developing community collaborations.
3. Promoting undergraduate and graduate-level scholarship and mentoring students in research.
4. Contributing to departmental, college, and university service activities.

This faculty position is a 100% in-person role.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Candidates must hold a PhD, DrPH, or equivalent degree in a field related to public or population health, epidemiology, or biostatistics, with a strong foundation in both qualitative and quantitative research methods. The degree must be conferred by the start date of the appointment.
• Preference will be given to those with a specialty in Epidemiology and/or Biostatistics.

Evidence of Teaching Evaluation, strong interpersonal skills, ability to supervise graduate Theses and Projects, commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, etc.
