This position focuses on fostering an inclusive environment and a strong sense of belonging for both students and staff, ensuring a supportive setting that enables medical students to thrive academically, professionally, and personally.
The successful candidate is expected to commence in the role on 1 June 2026.
Key responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Act as an effective and professional role model, providing high-quality academic leadership for Year 3 learning experiences, assessment, and student support, including guidance, remediation, pastoral care, career advice, and extension activities.
- Serve as an educational advisor and clinical coach, contributing to the coordination of the Year 3 MD course, clinical immersion experiences, tutorials, centrally provided learning, and engagement with external partners, while supporting staff development and monitoring student progress.
- Undertake and contribute to research in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning, applying best-practice methodologies, producing quality outputs, seeking funding, and leading collaborations to advance pedagogical practices.
- Provide supervision and development for students, trainees, and staff, including coaching, feedback, professional development, and management of staff in accordance with university policies.
