About the role

This teaching focused role helps shape how our MD students learn and apply the medical sciences that underpin clinical practice. You’ll design and deliver engaging learning and assessment experiences across physiology, anatomy and pharmacology, with a strong emphasis on clinical application. You’ll also contribute to Case Based Learning (CBL) and to the development of high quality program materials and activities that support integrated learning across the MD.

A key part of the role is coordinating Phase 1 teaching blocks (four weeks each), including planning, scheduling, and working with academic and professional colleagues to ensure smooth delivery. It’s a hands-on position for someone who enjoys thoughtful curriculum design, collaborative teaching, and helping students build confidence and capability in the sciences that matter in medicine.

About you

You hold a PhD in physiology, anatomy or a related medical science and bring experience teaching in a university or medical school environment. Your teaching background includes lecturing, facilitating small group learning and working hands-on in anatomy laboratories, with the confidence to deliver anatomy practicals. You have a practical understanding of the quality, safety, and compliance requirements that support academic teaching, including WH&S obligations and the NSW Anatomy Act. Above all, you bring a thoughtful, inclusive approach to your work and value culturally respectful and safe practice in teaching, learning, and collaboration.
