Job Summary/Basic Function:
The Deputy Registrar supports the University Registrar in managing institution-wide registrar operations, including registration, records, graduation, academic scheduling, curriculum, transfer, regional pathways, and NCAA athletic eligibility. This director-level position manages the Registrars team, leads daily operations, and supports the University Registrar on strategic initiatives for the office, Division of Student Access and Success, and university. The Deputy Registrar maintains the integrity of academic records, systems, and data. The role ensures the accuracy and efficiency of academic processes, interprets and advises on institutional and USHE policy, and supports the student lifecycle from enrollment to graduation.
Required Qualifications:
Required:
- Masters degree, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Five years of college employment experience in a Registrars Office or related areas of academic advisement, admissions, financial aid, student services, enrollment services, or equivalent experience.
- At least one year of related supervisory experience.
- Experience working with a student information system (such as Ellucian Banner).
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred:
- Experience leading an office or team in higher education, particularly in a Registrars Office or closely related area.
- Experience using Ellucian Banner.
- Very strong technical skills, including academic software management.
- Experience managing high-level, ongoing projects and collaborating effectively with stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and writing skills.

Visual Acuity Requirements including color, depth perception and field of vision: Required to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; using a computer terminal; extensive reading.
