Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: A minimum of an associate degree (or 60 hours of college credit) and 2 years of experience as a sworn law enforcement officer.

Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Associates degree or higher and some experience with a campus environment.
• North Carolina Advanced Law Enforcement Certificate.
• Prior certification as a law enforcement officer with an advanced level of training and experience or military police experience.
• Prior investigation experience.

Required Certifications or Licensures: Certification as a Law Enforcement Officer in accordance with the provisions of the North Carolina Criminal Justice Training and Standards Commission or the ability to achieve lateral transfer certification within one year of employment.
