Additional Posting Information: The Development Associate for the Office of Gift and Estate Planning will be an integral member of this growing team. Responsibilities include:
- Assists development leadership in developing and implementing alumni and donor engagement strategies, donor identification and cultivation, and major gift prospect research.
- Directly coordinates with donors, faculty, and advancement staff to facilitate acceptance of gifts in kind, gift transmittals, gift agreements, and naming opportunities.
- Works with the Office of Annual Giving to develop annual fund solicitations.
- Develops and prepares acknowledgements, newsletters, brochures, press releases, reports, correspondence, and informational and solicitation materials for various advancement activities.
- Supports the efforts of the development office to coordinate advisory board meetings, fundraising events, and activities to recruit volunteers, build relations with alumni, and maintain good will with various constituent groups.
- Provides guidance and supervision as needed to student organizations and other volunteer student organizations involved in fund-raising and other advancement activities.
- Executes various administrative functions such as preparing and monitoring budgets.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

- Support planned giving portfolio and prospect work for Chief Development Officer and major gift officers;
- Support planned giving marketing campaigns, manage and maintain accurate record of mail and online responses, prepare and mail packets of information and brochures;
- Engage with development discovery officers, donor relations and stewardship teams, and gift processing office;
- Provide general administrative support for the office including data entry, filing, maintaining inventory lists, scanning, and updating calendar and contact lists;
- Proofread and edit documents for accuracy, content, and formatting;
- Conduct basic research using online databases to enhance the information in database;
- Participate in special projects related to stewardship of legacy donors including assisting in related events;
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned; and,
- Exercise appropriate discretion in the management of confidential and sensitive information.
