Objective
Provides leadership, expertise, and oversight for Blinn College's web and social media presence, including website content management, functional innovation, search engine optimization, and overall utility.
Required Quals Summary
Bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field and a minimum of three years of relevant experience managing and executing online marketing and communications or an associate degree in marketing or a related field and a minimum of six years of relevant experience managing and executing online marketing and communications.
Previous experience managing an organization's website built with a content management system (CMS).
Experience managing web and content production, information architecture, user experience, interactive design, and analytics/testing.

This is a 12-month, benefits-eligible position. Blinn College pays 100% of health insurance for full-time employees, 50% for dependents, and two times your annual salary in life insurance benefits. Leave time includes 96 hours vacation, 40 hours discretionary and 16 hours personal each year and 8 hours sick each month. Paid leave for college designated holidays, spring break, Thanksgiving, and Christmas break (approx. 25 days per year).
Principal Accountabilities
Oversees the review of all content submitted by internal clients to ensure it is optimized for SEO, that it fairly represents all programs across the College District, and that it is updated and maintained on an ongoing basis. Works with College stakeholders to identify information visitors are seeking on the website.
Responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of processes for making real-time updates to the College website to improve site visits, SEO, and stakeholder engagement, as well as keep the content and look and feel of the website relevant and fresh. Work with College stakeholders to generate content that is clear, consistent, and user friendly.
Works with peers in the Marketing Department to generate social media content. Designs social media strategies designed to generate web traffic and direct the public to new and updated information available at the website.
Manages the College's Content Management System to create new web pages and content and edit existing content.
Oversees the performance of the Web Content Specialist.
Provides strategic direction for the evolving navigation and information architecture of the Blinn College District website.
Develops, documents, maintains, and publicizes policies and procedures for visual, content, legal and government requirements, accessibility, and functional standards.
Oversees the generation of reports regarding website traffic.
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Communications, Media Relations, and Marketing.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field and a minimum of three years of relevant experience managing and executing online marketing and communications, or an associate degree in marketing or a related field and a minimum of six years of relevant experience managing and executing online marketing and communications.

Minimum Competencies
Strong leadership and customer service skills in delivering innovative, high-quality web interface solutions.
Strong written communications and editing skills to clearly convey information to a variety of audiences.
Strong organizational and project management skills. A creative thinker with the ability to meet multiple deadlines and lead in a professional and fiscally responsible manner.
Strong knowledge of web design and digital marketing best practices, including SEO and content marketing.
Strong knowledge of content management systems and web applications.
Knowledge of web standards, government requirements, and web accessibility requirements (ADA).
Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to utilize Google Analytics to gather and analyze website data.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degrees or certifications in marketing or a related field.
Previous community college marketing experience.
Hands-on experience managing web and social media teams.
Preferred Competencies
Previous experience with Hannon Hill's Cascade content management system.
