Director, Athletics Annual Giving & Operations / Assistant Athletics Director
Job Description
The Director, Annual Giving & Operations / Assistant Athletics Director is responsible for all aspects of level 1 cash fundraising for Athletics. Leading a team of two professional staff, the Director is responsible for developing, implementing, and measuring strategies that increase overall current-use philanthropic revenue ranging from $1 to $250,000 for Boston College Athletics.
A primary charge of the Director's is the development of strategies that are distinct from and incremental to annual and leadership giving tied to Athletics parking and seating incentives, with the goal of providing significant budget relief to the University's investment in Athletics ($20M+) that is not offset by other revenue.
The Director will leverage solicitation strategies that include one-to-one fundraising and direct marketing (email, mail, phone, and social media), including leveraging the Director of Development/Sr. Associate Athletics Director and select coaches as needed. The director will be responsible for a visit goal of 60 and $1,300,000 in gifts closed. They will develop stewardship and recognition strategies for annual donors to Athletics and will collaborate with colleagues in both Advancement and Athletics on their implementation.
The Director will oversee all aspects of the donor-based parking and ticketing functions, luxury suites, and premium game day experiences. The director will be responsible for liaising with the ticket office and athletics marketing and communications teams. The Director will also oversee updates and develop content for the athletics development website and drive communication and annual giving strategy for our 31 varsity programs, including the annual Support Your Sport Campaign.
The Director will work collaboratively with leaders in the Advancement and Athletics organizations to ensure that all strategies are aligned with the departmental goals of both division and within the context of anticipated fundraising campaigns, for both Athletics and for the University more broadly.

Full-Time Equivalent Hiring Range: $105,000 to $131,200; salary commensurate with relevant experience.
