About This Opportunity

The Director, Institute Operations is a professional leadership position that has overall responsibility for executing the strategic direction of the Frazer Institute in collaboration with the Director and the Institute Executive, focusing on strategic partnerships with the health sector and industry and ensuring operational excellence and effectiveness of the Institute.

The Director of Institute Operations will work in partnership with the Director, Frazer Institute and colleagues within the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Behavioural Sciences and broader University to foster a collaborative culture, build a cohesive and engaged Institute, and act in the best interests of the Institute, Faculty and University. They will build the trusted relationship required for true partnerships, streamline interactions and prospect business opportunities for the Institute.

About You

The successful appointee will have demonstrated excellent leadership and management skills that will enable the Frazer Institute to further develop and realise a vision built on partnerships, engagement and high-impact research within the broader Faculty and University research ecosystem. They will hold postgraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline (or equivalent experience), alongside extensive leadership experience across university, government, not-for-profit, or industry sectors. In particular, they will demonstrate a track record of business development, contracting and project management reflecting their ability to build the Frazer institute’s partnerships.

They will demonstrate a proven ability to drive external engagement, secure strategic partnerships, and build funded research collaborations. Significant experience in strategic planning, operations, resource and financial management, and governance within complex organisations is essential.

An effective and inclusive leader, they will excel in communication and stakeholder engagement, with a strong track record of fostering collaboration, building cohesive teams, and creating a positive, high-performing organisational culture.
