The Director of Academic Personnel (AP) serves as the principal advisor and subject matter expert on all academic personnel matters and is a key member of the Administrative Services and Strategic Executive Team (ASSET). This position reports to the Assistant Vice Chancellor and Chief Financial & Administrative Officer for ASSET, with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Vice Provost and Dean of Undergraduate Education. As the primary liaison among Undergraduate Education academic units, ASSET's human resources, workforce administration, and finance teams, and central academic personnel offices, the Director ensures policy compliance, consistency, and timely execution of academic HR actions. The Director leads academic personnel planning and service delivery, including recruitment, onboarding, staffing, compensation, academic reviews (for both Senate and non-Senate faculty), and ASE appointments. In collaboration with ASSET HR and DUE leadership, the Director also contributes to the development and implementation of internal guidelines, delivers training, and drives process improvement initiatives.
