Director of Applied Data and Community Insights, EdRedesign Lab
Job Summary
The EdRedesign Lab at Harvard Graduate School of Education provides catalytic support to the cradle-to-career place-based partnership field to drive systems-level change. Reporting to EdRedesign’s Deputy Director & Director of the Institute for Success Planning, the Director of Applied Data and Community Insights will be responsible for implementing a comprehensive data and evaluation strategy for EdRedesign’s focus areas: personalized-relationship based supports and place-based cross-sector collaboration.
Job-Specific Responsibilities
- Strategic Data and Evaluation Support: Lead the development and implementation of data and evaluation systems for programs like the Institute for Success Planning Community of Practice, EdRedesign Fellowship, and By All Means Senior Fellows. Develop tools for data use, design strategies for metrics, create dashboards, and build relationships with partners.
- Integration and Alignment: Collaborate with EdRedesign departments to ensure alignment on data and evaluation topics. Work with research and communications to develop publications and support the Data and Evaluation Working Group.
- Special Projects: Support projects related to applied data innovations and participate in national working groups.
Working Conditions
This position offers a combination of on-campus and remote work, with options for 100% remote work, performed within specified states.
Qualifications
- Basic Qualifications: Master’s degree or equivalent, 8 years of related experience, experience in quantitative analysis, ability to travel.
- Additional Qualifications: Strong communication skills, experience in applied quantitative analysis, working with non-technical audiences, and managing data in social sector programs.
Additional Information
Appointment end date: 1 year from date of hire. Standard hours: 35 per week. Work format: Based at Harvard campus with remote options.
