Assist the Head Football Coach with the organization and administration of the UCM football program.
Serve as the primary administrative liaison to the football program.
Work with the Assistant Director of Business Operations to oversee the football budget.
Work with the Associate Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics to oversee football compliance regarding MIAA, NCAA and UCM rules and regulations.
Examples of Duties
Serve as the primary administrative liaison to the football program in overseeing the consistency and effectiveness of the program to include: -50%
- Meet daily with the staff to discuss academics, schedule planning, and coordination between various units of the football program.
- Plan team travel and other travel related duties as assigned by the head coach.
- Organize team community outreach programs.
- Coordinate on campus recruiting visits.
- Complete and provide documentation of NCAA rules and regulations as required by compliance officer.
- Work congruently with the Assistant Athletic Director for Business Operations to oversee all aspects of the UCM Football budget, including but not limited to be responsible for the daily financial accounting for UCM Football, oversee all football purchasing card activity including but not limited to: ensuring monthly reports are submitted in a timely manner by staff with necessary documentation, accurate budget coding, Chrome River, etc., ensure proper submission of paperwork and documentation including pre-approval travel requests, monitor and ensure all financial transactions are in compliance with NCAA and University policies and procedures, provide revenue and expense updates and data to assist the Assistant Athletic Director for Business Operations in providing monthly budget updates, and work collaboratively with the Assistant Athletic Director for Business Operations to develop a line item budget for general operations areas including but not limited to: equipment, recruiting, etc.
Assist the head football coach with the organization, supervision, and administration of the UCM football program to include: -30%
- Coordinate the student athlete recruitment process, to include admission and acceptance of student athletes. Ensure the timely processing of forms, to include transcript submission, food, housing, physical and insurance-related paperwork.
- Promote the UCM football program to various groups, including boosters, community groups and student groups.
- Oversee the computerized needs of the UCM football program, to include student athlete recruitment activities, UCM student athlete information, play book information, alumni football player information, web information, game plans and opponent information, and purchase of computer equipment and software upgrades.
- Work congruently with the Associate Vice President to oversee all aspects of UCM football compliance, ensuring coaches and staff are operating with MIAA, NCAA, &UCM rules and regulations including: coordinate regular coaches education sessions, ensure proper submission of paperwork and documentation, establish consistent system of identifying possible transfers and sharing that information with compliance in a timely manner, establish consistent system to coordinate information of incoming freshman and transfers including but not limited to transcripts, eligibility center, and financial aid.
- Act as the primary ARMS coordinator for football ensuring information is accurate.
- Collaborate with the Head Football Coach and Vice President to ensure the needs of the football program are adequately being met.
Kicker, Punter, Snapper Position Coach:-20%
- On the field coaching of these positions.
- Charting, timing, kick times, accuracy and velocity of each position.
- Film sessions during meeting time with these positions.
- Recruiting potential student athletes (High School and Transfer) to UCM that play these positions.
- Film evaluation of opponent breakdown pertaining to these positions.
- Using analytical data to predict schemes, trends and opponent tendencies in dealing with these positions.
- Academic checks with UCM student athletes that play these specific positions.
Typical Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in athletics, physical education, or related field required.
Experience:
- One year proven college/junior college or one year successful high school football coaching experience required
Supplemental Information
This position will begin on or after March 16, 2026.
