The role of Director of Information and Digital Transformation at Wrexham University represents an exciting opportunity to be an integral part of our Senior Leadership Group. This pivotal role will drive the Institution's strategic use of technology and digital solutions to enhance all aspects of its operations, including teaching, research, and administration. You will lead our information and digital services alongside playing a lead role in the implementation of digital transformation and efficiencies in line with our Wrexham 2030 strategy.

We are looking for an outstanding individual, who is an inspirational leader, with vision and passion to come on this journey with us and play a central role in the team to shape our future. We pride ourselves on working in active partnership with industry, the public sector and our communities to make a real difference. Through your high level of credibility and influencing skills and expertise in building and managing senior relationships you will look to develop strong alliances and partnerships, both internally and externally through networking and relationship building.

Ideal candidates will have combination of operational and strategic leadership experience across a similar function or across a specific service area, in a similarly complex environment. You will have a demonstrable understanding of the UK Higher Education sector, and in particular, how IT can support future requirements and developments.

You will develop effective working partnerships with the Faculties and Professional Services to proactively identify and deliver improvements to University Information Services, and you will resolve outstanding operational issues and initiate and oversee key development and change management projects.

In addition, you will lead a function that supports students and staff through learning and digital support, infrastructure and cyber, and business apps and systems. Wrexham has already invested in integrating and improving the University’s core systems in HR, payroll, and learning management but there is still a considerable amount of digital transformation to be realised.
