The Zamierowski Institute for Experiential Learning (ZIEL) is a world class experiential learning center with a vision to transform learning, collaboration, and care. The mission is to co-create simulation-based learning that measurably impacts the most critical problems facing health professions education and care. ZIEL serves as a centralized resource for faculty, trainees, staff, educators, and other subject matter experts from across the University of Kansas Medical Center (KUMC) and The University of Kansas Health System (TUKHS) who are interested in utilizing simulation for education, performance improvement, innovation, and scholarship across disciplines and along the developmental continuum.

This includes strategic infrastructure planning for project, technology, and communication management, while also representing ZIEL operations related to data management. This individual will manage and lead the members of the business operations unit. Finally, this director will collaborate with a wide variety of technology and information management teams within KUMC and TUKHS to develop and integrate solutions within and/or using the simulated environment that advance the respective missions of KUMC and TUKHS.
