Director of Organizational Assessment and Accreditation
The Director of Organizational Assessment and Accreditation leads the development, coordination, and continuous improvement of assessment strategies for non-instructional areas such as student experience, operations, technology, and finance. The Director also serves as the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) Accreditation Liason Officer (ALO). Housed within the Center for Strategic Innovation and Foresight and reporting to the Chief Foresight and Decision Support Officer (CFDSO), this role supports institutional effectiveness by providing evidence-based insights, foresight-informed planning tools, and decision support systems that enhance student experiences and advance equitable outcomes across the College.
The Director plays a critical role in fostering a culture of inquiry, data-informed decision-making, and continuous improvement. In close collaboration with student experience, finance, operations, and other cross-functional teams, the Director builds capacity in assessment practices and the effective use of data. This position also contributes to professional learning and partners with the CFDSO to design and deliver strategic models that align operational assessment efforts with institutional priorities and the College's future-ready planning framework. This individual must possess the ability to use varying styles and approaches that reflect an understanding and acceptance of the role of culture in a diverse, multicultural workplace.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, implementation, and continuous refinement of assessment strategies for co-curricular and administrative units, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and equity priorities.
- Collaborate with the CFDSO to develop strategic planning models and frameworks that drive continuous improvement and foresight-informed decision-making across non-instructional areas.
- Create and maintain decision support tools, dashboards, and visualizations that clearly communicate the impact of institutional initiatives and inform planning.
- Design and deliver professional development for employees on co-curricular and operational assessment design, outcomes measurement, and data-informed decision-making.
- Partner with college divisions to integrate assessment results into co-curricular and operational program review, strategic planning, and resource allocation processes.
- Coordinate data collection and reporting related to co-curricular outcomes, including student engagement, service effectiveness, and operational performance.
- Promote a culture of inquiry by coaching departments to use data to reflect, learn, and improve.
- Support the integration of co-curricular and operational assessment into institutional reporting systems and accreditation documentation.
- Utilize the Watermark platform to help monitor, organize, and maintain archives for co-curricular and operational assessments.
- Serve as Accreditation Liaison Officer to ensure alignment and compliance with accreditation standards, recommendations, and best practices for institutional effectiveness.
- Participate as an effective team member on the Outcomes Assessment Council.
- Serve as an active member of the Maryland Community College Learning Assessment Group (MCCLAG).
- Other duties as assigned.
Salary: $93,400 - $101,034 annually
