Augusta University, a distinguished public research institution and academic medical center located in Augusta, Georgia, invites applications for a collaborative, student-focused, and experienced admissions professional to serve as its next Director of Undergraduate Admissions.

Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management, Dr. Amy Smith, the Director will lead the Office of Undergraduate Admissions with strategic vision and a commitment to student success. This role demands strong leadership, exceptional communication skills, technological fluency, and a deep dedication to educational excellence. The ideal candidate will be a strong admissions leader and effective manager who fosters meaningful relationships across campus and beyond, always with a student-centered approach. The Director will lead recruitment efforts aligned with Augusta University’s strategic plan, working in partnership with campus stakeholders to attract and enroll a diverse and academically talented undergraduate student body—including first-year, dual-enrolled, transfer, international, non-degree, and returning students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Enrollment Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive, data-informed recruitment strategy to support Augusta University’s goal of reaching 16,000 students by 2030.
  • Team Development: Build and lead a high-performing admissions team, cultivating a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous professional growth. Mentor staff and encourage engagement with professional organizations.
  • Operational Excellence & Technology Integration: Leverage deep expertise in Slate CRM and a strong understanding of the enrollment management lifecycle to enhance systems and processes. Collaborate with IT, institutional research, and administrative units to optimize operations.
  • Campus & Community Engagement: Serve as a visible and active connector across campus and within the community. Partner with Financial Aid, Advisement, Student Affairs, and other departments to ensure a seamless and supportive student experience.

As one of only four public research universities in Georgia—and the only one with a nationally recognized academic health center—Augusta University occupies a unique position in the region. With a vision to grow enrollment to 16,000 students by 2030, the university currently serves over 11,500 students, supported by approximately 1,800 dedicated faculty members. Located along the scenic Savannah River, Augusta offers a rich blend of history, culture, and natural beauty. The city is home to the iconic Augusta National Golf Club and the prestigious Masters Tournament, and features a vibrant downtown with diverse shops, restaurants, and cultural attractions.
