Director, Strategy and Projects
Overview
The Director, Strategy & Projects provides a critical bridge between data-driven operations, executive leadership and strategic decision-making by supporting high-level case management and strategic design for the Undergraduate Admissions Office (UGA). Ensure that UGA remains agile and responsive to shifting recruitment and enrollment landscapes to support a highly strategic and complex global admissions organization. While important to have basic literacy in data modeling and visualization, this role will not be directly responsible for data analysis and, instead, serves as expert support for both external and internal teams that support UGA decision-making through the full admission lifecycle. Lead both short- and long-term projects that strengthen communication, cultivate trust and collaboration, and position UGA to achieve its institutional goals within GEMSS. Partner with undergraduate admissions leadership on strategic planning and data support, while also managing high profile cases involving prospective and admitted applicants and campus partners. By conducting thorough research and providing vetted recommendations to leadership, ensure that high-profile cases are handled with absolute confidentiality and in strict accordance with University policy.
Required Education:
Master's Degree
Required Experience:
7+ years relevant experience in a university admissions or global higher education position, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Experience:
7+ years creating and/or analyzing student enrollment projections, and utilizing customer relationship management (CRM) systems such as Slate.

Demonstrated ability to excel in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities, while remaining flexible and proactive. Ability to accurately and consistently meet deadlines. Ability to demonstrate tact and diplomacy when dealing with difficult issues and/or diverse organizations.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Experience with Slate, PeopleSoft Campus Solutions modules (i.e. Admissions, Student Records, Student Financials, etc.) Ability to project manage a team to facilitate implementations and/or procedural change. Adept and interested and learning and implementing new technologies to improve existing processes. Dexterity with data platforms including Tableau.
Salary Range:
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $100,000.00 to USD $140,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
