District Recruiter
Alabama State University, Office of Admissions and Recruitment, invites applications to fill the position of District Recruiter. This role is responsible for developing relationships with prospective students to support enrollment efforts while also managing the unit's social media platforms and web portals.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Recruit quality students by visiting high schools, junior colleges, and community colleges
- Assist in developing a strategic marketing plan to attract non-traditional students
- Represent the University at community events to enhance recruitment efforts
- Provide information on Alabama State University's educational programs through public speaking, one-on-one interactions, and outreach to students, parents, counselors, and other stakeholders
- Submit recruitment reports as directed
- Assist with campus tours and planning off-campus recruitment activities
- Create content for units social media pages
- Post information across unit social media platforms
- Respond to questions posted to social media platforms
- Monitor Social Unit Social Media sites as well affiliated sites to respond where needed to inquires
- Monitor social media sites for inappropriate post and comments
- Follow up with prospective student and perform additional duties as assigned
A Bachelor's degree, strong written and verbal communication skills, be available to work evenings and weekends, travel as necessary, and have a valid driver's license with an insurable driving record are required. Previous experience in sales, marketing, recruiting, and managing social media are desired.
