DMO Resourcing and Scheduling Lead
About the Role
At Swinburne, we’re shaping the university of the future—driven by people, technology, and bold ideas. To power this next chapter, we’re seeking a dynamic DMO Resourcing and Scheduling Lead to transform how we plan, sequence, and deliver some of our most critical strategic initiatives.
In this pivotal role, you’ll be at the heart of our enterprise planning ecosystem—ensuring resources are strategically aligned across our portfolio and giving leaders clear visibility into capacity, demand, and what’s required to deliver on our ambitious commitments.
You’ll design and maintain integrated schedules that look ahead, enabling smarter scenario planning, informed decision-making, and seamless connections between people, priorities, and delivery. Collaborating closely with Portfolio Delivery teams, People & Culture, Finance, and initiative sponsors, you’ll make sure the right capabilities are in place at the right time to keep momentum strong.
As our go-to expert in enterprise resourcing and scheduling, your insights will directly support Swinburne’s Investment Delivery and Governance Frameworks. You’ll identify bottlenecks, anticipate constraints, and uplift delivery feasibility across the university. While the Systems and Reporting Manager owns the scheduling platform, you’ll champion Microsoft Project Online as the primary business user—ensuring data is accurate, timely, and driving real outcomes.
About You
You’ll thrive in a fast-moving, collaborative environment and be energised by enabling great delivery. To be successful, you’ll have:
- Proven experience in resource planning, capacity management or portfolio scheduling within a complex environment
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project Online and Microsoft Project Professional
- Experience with Altus (Sensei IQ highly advantageous)
- A strong understanding of project and program lifecycles, and how planning, resourcing and execution interconnect
- The ability to interpret data and translate it into clear insights for decision-makers
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and organisational skills
- A collaborative approach and confidence working with delivery leads, HR, Finance and other cross-functional partners
For more information please refer to the job description.
Qualifications
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Project Management or equivalent experience.
