Education Specialist
Work that matters
We are seeking applicants with strong expertise and experience directly relevant to the teaching of Human-Animal Relationships in Health and Society and Rural Public Health. The successful candidate will be expected to coordinate and deliver these undergraduate courses (each offered in different semesters). Either in-depth subject knowledge or broad public health knowledge would be appropriate for this role. Candidates with experience of innovative educational approaches - or willingness to adopt these – would be very welcome. Our School operates as a team, collaborating with and supporting one another to achieve and maintain excellence in teaching and research. We believe that the pastoral care of our students is fundamental to being a good teacher as it sets our students up for success.
Although this is a teaching-intensive role, we encourage research interests that complement and strengthen the School’s leading research groups, particularly in areas aligned with human-animal interaction (such as One Health or companion animal research) or rural health challenges.
