Position Summary
James M. Tour's research group is seeking an Electrical Engineer with a strong foundation in high-voltage and high-frequency engineering to join a highly collaborative, research-driven engineering team. In this role, the engineer will work with the research team of Professor James Tour in the Department of Chemistry. The candidate will contribute to the design, testing, and optimization of electrical heating systems operating at high voltages and high frequencies. Once optimized, the position could transition to a local start-up company for deployment of the technology.
Ideal Candidate Statement
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field. A minimum of 4 years of experience in high-voltage and high-frequency engineering is required.
Workplace Requirements
This position is exclusively on-site, requiring all duties to be performed in person at Rice University in Houston, Texas. Per Rice policy 440, work arrangements may be subject to change.
Hiring Range
The starting salary is $110,400, with final compensation based on experience and qualifications.
