Description of Position
Candidates must have experience and teaching skills in selected areas of electronics, electrical technology, or related engineering fields. Instruction may include both theory and hands-on applications across multiple subject areas. Applicants are expected to demonstrate strength in one or more of the following areas, with working familiarity in others as appropriate to assigned courses:
- Electrical and power schematics; AC/DC circuitry
- Electric motor control, industrial controls, PLCs, and/or robotics systems
- Embedded systems, digital logic, and programming
- Residential, commercial, and/or industrial electrical wiring methods
- PCB layout and electronics fabrication (e.g., PADS, Altium)
- Test and measurement, test automation, and data acquisition (e.g., Python, LabVIEW)
- Energy and alternative energy systems, including power electronics
- Quality, process improvement, or applied data analysis (e.g., Six Sigma, statistical methods)

Salary
Initial salary placement for full-time, tenure track positions is based on academic degree(s), upper/graduate level units earned, teaching experience and/or qualifying related professional occupation experience which ranges from $68,136 to $112,848 per year (Up to $132k). Adjunct instructor classroom faculty pay rate is $77.87-$128.97 per hour (up to $151.16). Counseling, Librarian, Disabilities Specialist pay rate is $51.37-$87.77 per hour (up to $100.65)

Duties and Responsibilities
Adjunct Faculty duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. providing instruction in accordance with established curriculum, course outlines and class schedules;
2. creating and maintaining an environment which emphasizes learning, encourages free discussion of ideas and critical thinking;
3. evaluating progress of students concerning educational matters and grades student work;
4. meeting with students outside of class;
5. maintaining appropriate standards of professional conduct and ethics;
6. maintaining current knowledge in the subject matter areas;
7. fulfilling professional responsibilities of a part-time/temporary faculty member;
8. maintaining accurate academic records;
9. performing other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualification-Education/Experience
EDUCATION:
Any bachelors degree or higher AND two years of professional experience (for example, in electricity, electromechanical/electronic technology, engineering tech, industrial maintenance/tech, robotics, or electrical trade (as journey-level), OR any associate degree AND six years of professional experience.

Desirable Qualifications
Demonstrated experience with PCB assembly and fabrication processes, including surface-mount and through-hole soldering, rework, inspection, and prototyping workflows (DFM/DFT). Practical experience using electronic test and measurement equipment and troubleshooting electronic, electrical, or electromechanical systems. Familiarity with embedded systems, digital hardware, industrial/energy technologies such as EV charging systems or other renewable energy technologies, and safe electrical work practices (including ESD and NEC awareness, as applicable). Commitment to equity-minded teaching practices, workforce development, and supporting students from historically underrepresented backgrounds in STEM.
