Academic Emergency Medicine Nocturnist Opportunity

The Department of Emergency Medicine at the Yale University School of Medicine is seeking faculty interested in joining a nationally leading Department of Academic Emergency Medicine as a nocturnist across our three campuses that care for nearly 200,000 patient visits every year. The position is at the Assistant/Associate Professor level, rank and track commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Our department offers the opportunity to practice in a comprehensive setting with expertise and opportunities across the breadth of our specialty including ultrasound, global health, emergency medical services, toxicology, wilderness, and simulation. Clinical opportunities include a range of acuity from our primary academic campus, a Level 1 trauma and comprehensive stroke care center, to community and freestanding EDs as well as the opportunity to care for a range of clinical acuity from critical care to observation medicine.

Nocturnist practitioners will appreciate multiple emergency physician coverage at night, access to 24/7 specialist coverage, and opportunities to teach learners from our four-year EM residency of nearly 80 residents, an advanced PA training program, and a world-class medical-school. We also offer an extensive faculty development programs for junior and more senior faculty to help support career longevity and wellness.
