Xavier University of Louisiana College of Pharmacy Associate/Full Professor – Division of Basic Pharmaceutical Sciences Endowed Chair of Pharmaceutical Sciences. The Division of Basic Pharmaceutical Sciences in the College of Pharmacy at Xavier University of Louisiana invites applicants for Associate/Full Professor to serve as the Endowed Chair of Pharmaceutical Sciences. The position is a full-time tenure-track twelve-month faculty position. The ideal candidate will hold a Ph.D. in Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Science, Medicinal Chemistry, or a related field, with expertise in basic or translational Pharmacology or Medicinal Chemistry, focused on cancer therapeutic interventions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and/or sustain a vibrant cancer research agenda including publications and external grant support at the R01 level or equivalent; Contribute to the growth and expansion of the University’s capacity for cancer research; Participate in one or more of the Louisiana Cancer Research Center programs; Teach, mentor, and advise PharmD and MS students; Promote a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion; Participate in service activities and meetings.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. in Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Science, Medicinal Chemistry, or related field; Distinguished record of research in cancer therapeutics; Current or recent R01 or equivalent funding; Experience in teaching and mentoring; Excellent communication skills; Eligibility for Associate or Full Professor rank; Commitment to diversity and the university’s mission.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience with preclinical and clinical research; Teaching and mentoring track record; Collaborative research efforts; Involvement in professional organizations; Leadership abilities.
