Explore novel mechanisms of ion channel regulation and pharmacological modulation using advanced biophysical techniques including electrophysiology, fluorescence imaging, and protein engineering.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Electrophysiological recordings of cultured cells using whole-cell, cell-attached and excised patches configurations.
- Multiplexing electrophysiology recordings with fluorescence imaging, mechanical stimulations with piezo-electric actuators, and drug delivery using gravity-fed and pressurized perfusion systems.
- Maintenance of mammalian cells and plasmid library.
- Transient expression of wild-type and recombinant ion channels in mammalian cells.
- Proficient in both spoken and written English, excellent communication skills.
Required Qualifications
Education: Ph.D. in Biology, Physiology, Biophysics, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
Experience: Possess experience in electrophysiology and strong communication skills, demonstrated by a robust publication record and personal statement.
