About the role
The University of Bath is embarking on the next stage of its digital transformation journey. A key part is the creation of a Data and Insights Project to develop capabilities across the organisation to become a data-driven organisation. This will provide insights and actionable recommendations to support decision making and maximise student and staff experience.
The Digital, Data & Technology Department (DDaT) provides digital, data and technology services that are accessible, relevant, and secure. The Enterprise Data Architect will work closely with the Chief Data & Technology Officer (CDTO) and stakeholders on the creation and measurement of the university’s data strategy. You will provide data architecture leadership, setting standards and ways of working for the data community.
You will lead the architecture of the university’s Enterprise Data Hub, acting as a single source of quality assured data to underpin insight and data-driven services. Capable of operating across a wide-ranging technology stack including SaaS, PaaS, Commercial off the Shelf, and in-house custom developed solutions, you will take functional and non-functional requirements and provide expert architectural direction.
About you
You will be a subject matter expert and trusted partner with excellent communication skills, working collaboratively with colleagues, business stakeholders, business analysts, and project managers to ensure solutions align with the reference architecture and deliver maximum value.

Additional information
This role includes a market supplement of £17,000 in addition to the base salary. It is offered on a full time (36.5 hours per week) permanent basis.
